At Michael Murphy Home Furnishing, we’ve ensured our delivery team are expertly trained so that they can offer you what we like to call white-glove service.

Our team will deliver your order, assemble it and then recycle any excess packaging from your home. We also offer a removal service* for your old furniture,  as part of our green initiative.

Our aim is to leave the product in your home just as you’ve seen it in our showroom.

Carefully Prepared

Once you’ve placed your order either online or in-store, your item is carefully selected by our skilled team of warehouse operatives, checked thoroughly and then packed into one of our instantly recognisable pink delivery vans.

Delivered On Time 

Our expert team of drivers deliver nationwide and on the morning of your scheduled delivery, a member of our delivery team will contact you within two hours of the expected arrival time.

Assembled With Care

Once our delivery team arrive at your home, each item in your order is carefully manuevered inside, unpacked and assembled with expert care and attention.

White Glove Service 

At Michael Murphy Home Furnishing, we pride ourselves on our expert delivery team, ensuring that each and every order is delivered, assembled and positioned in your home with the uptmost care.

We offer a parcel delivery service for online purchases of home accessories, rugs and wall art.

The cost for this parcel delivery service is €4.99 and it can be selected at the check-out.

The estimated waiting time for parcel delivery is 3 – 5  working days.

The courier will contact you with a one-hour delivery slot and if you aren’t at home to accept your parcel they will be in touch with options for re-delivery.

Please note: Some light assembly may be required for items sent out via our parcel delivery service. 

The Michael Murphy Home Furnishing delivery service is carried out by our in-house delivery team.

Our Michael Murphy Home Furnishing delivery service also includes a free on-site assembly for furniture (please note; items delivered with DPD will not be assembled)

We deliver Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

  • We offer a free Click and Collect service for home accessories and small furniture items from selected stores and our warehouse drive-through collection point.
  • This service is only available from the following branches – Newbridge, Wexford, New Ross, Sandyford and Airside.
  • Simply select this option at the checkout if you wish to avail of the service.
  • The estimated waiting times for collection from any store is 3-10 working days for in-stock items.
  • Please await collection confirmation via email or phone before travelling to the store.
  • Once your item has arrived at your chosen store, we will contact you and arrange the collection.

Do you offer a timed service for delivery?
We do not offer a timed delivery service. However, on the day of delivery, the delivery driver will call you between 8:30 am and 11:00 am to give you a time for your delivery. It is your responsibility to be available to take in the delivery at that given time. If the driver calls to your home and you are not available for delivery, there will be a €50 restocking fee if the delivery was confirmed as per our Terms and Conditions.

Will my items be assembled upon delivery?
Where possible, we aim to have furniture items assembled prior to delivery. However, it is not always possible to assemble all furniture items as space is limited on the delivery trucks. Our delivery drivers will assemble any furniture item for you on site in your home, as per your request. If you wish to opt for free assembly, please note this to our sales staff prior to delivery.

I am looking to purchase some furniture with you, will you take away my old items?
We do take away old mattresses, beds and sofas but there is a charge for disposal. If you wish to have an item taken away, it is best to advise your sales assistant of this at the point of sale. Items will not be taken away on the day of delivery if this has not been previously requested and paid for.

Please note: We do not take away old tables, chairs or living room items.

Delivery

Our delivery service operates Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays) between the hours of  am to 5 pm only.

At the time of purchase, you will be given a delivery date for your order (please note that specific times cannot be provided for deliveries).

This applies to all products in stock at the time of purchase. If the item is not in stock on the date of purchase we will provide you with a lead time for the arrival of your order to our warehouse and we will contact you with a delivery date when your order arrives into our warehouse.

We are dependent on the advice of our suppliers when quoting lead times to you but where there is any undue delay in receiving your order, your sales advisor will advise you of this.

On the morning of your scheduled delivery, a member of our delivery team will contact you within two hours of the expected delivery time.

We make every effort to deliver goods within an estimated period of 30 days; however, delays can occasionally occur due to unforeseen factors of which you will be advised.

We shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated time scales provided.

Please note that a delivery cannot be cancelled on the day of delivery as our deliveries are prepared the evening before a scheduled delivery.

You must advise us of any cancellation at least 2 working days prior to the scheduled delivery date. A cancellation outside this time period will lead to a re-delivery charge of €50 which must be paid before your re-scheduled delivery.

On the date of your delivery

Please note the following in relation to the date of your delivery.

If you agree to avail of our furniture assembly service and our staff place items inside your premises, please note we do not accept responsibility for any damage whatsoever caused to your premises or possessions within.

On the day of delivery, please ensure that the delivery team can gain easy access to the room that the furniture is going into.

Please make sure that the area you want the furniture placed is cleared.

A re-stocking charge of 25% of the item’s value will apply where adequate access is not available when goods are delivered and a credit note will then be issued for the outstanding value.

• If our driver cannot contact you on the number provided by you or fails to gain access to your delivery address on the day then your delivery will be rescheduled for the next available day.

A re-delivery charge of €50 will apply which must be paid before your re-scheduled delivery.

• You will not be liable for any damage to goods existing at the time of delivery. Therefore to make sure you are completely satisfied with your furniture the delivery team will ask you to sign for your furniture after it has been installed.

Goods must be accepted by and signed for by an adult over the age of 18 years.

We will endeavor to repair or replace the damaged item as soon as possible but we cannot guarantee the same day delivery.

Furniture Assembly & Removal Service

As part of our assembly and removal service, we take away all unwanted packaging belonging to the item for recycling. If you have purchased a new mattress for delivery, our delivery team can remove your old mattress, divan, or bed frame for recycling for an additional charge.

Should you require your old furniture to be removed, other than the aforementioned items, please contact your sales advisor or email us on customerservice@michaelmurphy.ie for our charges. All removal and disassembly charges must be paid for in advance of delivery.

Storage

We will store your goods for up to 28 days provided this is specifically requested and agreed to by a sales manager and full payment is made at the point of sale. All clearance and display items must be collected within 7 working days. On the expiry of these dates please note a weekly storage charge of 5% of the value of your order will apply.
