Monday Mood Board: Stripes

In terms of multifunctional patterns (suitable across flooring, walls, furnishings and accessories), we’ve fallen in love with black and white stripes this week – as well as striking variations on this classic. While stripes are a standout feature, they tend to remain chic and can work with both minimalist or busy interiors. This is often due to the restrained palette and the simplicity of alternating lines, no-matter how broad or fine the stripe is. So take a peek at our picks from Pinterest – as well as a selection of striped furnishings from our own collection – to get you inspired.

Highlight: The grey stripe – a subtle alternative to black – coupled with a soft pink chair (top; right).

Highlight: We love the thin, vertical black and white stripe on the duvet and pillowcases (bottom; right). So crisp and clean.

Highlight: The stripes on the bathroom wall created from individual tiles is a striking and clever design technique (bottom; left). The subtle white lines that divide the dark tiles add another dimension to this aesthetic.

Highlight: The marbled/striped floor (left). The black and warm grey pairing works beautifully, almost mirrored in the cool grey striped ceiling.

Highlight: The striped feature wall on the stairs, paired with glowing orange and calming blue just works (right). It’s not easy to do a print and bright colours to such a chic result.
