Often placed in hallways or entry points to the home, a console table or even a sideboard can help shape your interior aesthetic and ensure a great first impression.

1) Start with a vase of flowers.

We wouldn’t be without a vase of flowers on our console table. Coordinate your flowers to the overall theme of your living space, with a special focus on any artwork you may have hanging nearby. It’s a great way to bring the rest of the space to life while ensuring cohesion throughout.
2) Make the most of negative space.

The space between the floor and the console table can often look like an empty after-thought in an otherwise well-decorated space. We say make the most of areas like this and use it as an opportunity to add pieces that will compliment your console. Adding baskets helps fill the space and also doubles up as a storage option. If your console table has a shelf running parallel to the ground, we love styling books and pieces of pottery there too.
3) Tuck some additional seating underneath
