Get the Look: The Dean Hotel

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at the fabulous Dean Hotel, located on Dublin’s lively Harcourt Street and like the complete interiors geek I am, I have not been able to stop thinking about the decor since.

A carefully curated mix of styles exists at the Dean, resulting in the luxurious and trendy design of the hotel, from the lobby, throughout the rooms themselves and all the way to the rooftop bar and restaurant, Sophies.

The style at the Dean is contemporary, blending funky wall prints, rugs and light fixtures with classic details like tufted headboards and elegant frame chairs.

Naturally, we were so enamoured by the design at the Dean, we’ve been trying to figure out how to replicate the look for our own homes ever since and we’re pretty sure we’ve nailed it.

The Mubis Cubes Rug – Alternating cubes of colour take on the appearance of neat watercolour swatches, giving this rug a fresh and easy feel, balancing on the line between tidy and free design. With washes of orange, blue, neutrals, reds and greens, this rug’s inclusiveness ensures it will work with a range of interior palettes, complementing and contrasting as needed.

The Frame Chair –Crafted from rich, luxurious velvet and set atop an opulent gold frame, our new frame chairs are the epitome of style and sophistication. A low backrest allows for a mid-century inspired feel, while deep foam-filled cushions ensure maximum comfort. The stunning lines and long angles between the back and armrests, as well as the straight slope from the arms to the base of the seat, really show attention to design and a dedication to clean minimalism.

The Serenity Bed Frame – The Serenity bed frame is an impressive statement piece to add to any bedroom. Tall and majestic, with a uniquely designed, curved headboard, the Serenity bed frame is seriously chic. Enveloped in a rich, navy velvet and featuring an eye-catching button back design, tapered, brass-capped legs lend a retro-inspired feel to this popular bed frame.

Sean Curran Ha’penny Bridge Art – Probably the most famous bridge in Dublin City, the iconic Ha’penny Bridge is captured here in all it’s glory by Sean Curran. View the selection of limited prints from The Sean Curran Art collection here.

The Ducon Chair – A solid wood frame stands atop light wooden legs, enveloped in a versatile grey fabric with delicate buttons decorating the backrest for a pop of detail. We’d style it with the matching Ducon footstool for maximum style appeal.

The Moss 3 Seater Sofa – The Moss 2 Seater Sofa is ideal for those looking to snuggle up and relax on a couch that is both stylish and comfortable. A high back and deep, foam-filled cushions result in maximum comfort, while clean lines and wooden feet lend a contemporary, sophisticated feel to the piece.

The Viggo Nest of Tables – A versatile and tidy trio to have to hand in the living room, the Viggo Nest of Tables provide a happy opportunity for extra surfaces or display space when you need it. The chestnut top, balanced beautifully by the gold-tone metal legs in neat square frame designs, conveys a retro feel that works so well in contemporary homes, lending a touch of elegance and sophistication to the surrounding space, without compromising on style.
