After falling in love with Ralph Lauren’s S/S19 Ready-to-Wear runway show – as seen on Vogue.co.uk – we decided to pull five looks and use the materials, colours and overall feel in each to inspire mini mood boards of similarly themed interiors. From blue velvet to cosy woollen knits and striking plaid, we’re loving the dedication to texture, tone and pattern.
Blue Velvet
The navy blue velvet jacket below immediately brought our minds to beautiful, classic Chesterfields; smooth, soft and utterly luxurious to the touch – as well as more casual, but equally rich, living styles.

Colourful Plaid
The play of plaid on this jacket, coupled with neutrals and soft browns conjures up an old-world, decadent feel – but updated with unexpected colour and a mismatch attitude.

Textured Grey
Beautifully simple, the grey coat and embellished dress below are very effective as a pair; the simplicity of the outerwear complementing the intricate detail of the dress. Taking the textured grey as a starting point and adding a touch of ornamentation, the results are cool interiors with a touch of classic glam.

Rich, Cosy Wools
The gorgeous, cosy cardi below makes us think of textured warmth and chocolate, as well as grey, deep brown and khaki tones.

Dapper Black
It’s a classic in terms of black tie and a modern classic in the home, but either way, dark tones like black and charcoal always deliver amazing visuals.
