Interiors Trends We’re Leaving in 2021

It’s no secret that interior design trends are constantly changing and 2022 is no different. Today at Michael Murphy Home Furnishing we’ll be talking you through 3 interior trends we’re leaving behind in 2021.

Grey Interiors.

Spurred on by the interior styling of the Instagram cleaning queen, Mrs. Hinch, grey decor surged in popularity over the last two years, but now, it’s leaving us feeling a little cold. In 2022 we’ll be swapping out this cool-toned colour palette for bolder, warmer shades.

The Accent Wall.

The age of the accent wall is finally ending and we’re certain that in 2022, we’ll see a shift back to seamlessly blended monochromatic walls that aren’t nearly as dramatic.

More is more.

As we move further into a new decade we’re thinking less is more. If 2021 taught us anything it’s that our homes should be filled with beautiful pieces that bring us joy, so maximalism for the sake of making a statement, couldn’t be less on-trend.
