Decide whether you’re venturing to the actual shop, or shopping online. We think it depends on what you’re buying. If you’re browsing and buying, it’s always nice to see the items in person. But if you already had something in mind, then online shopping is your best friend.

 

 

Or Are You a Store-Savvy Sale Goer?

Plan your time when you’re going to the shop. Give yourself time to browse. Sales are a great time to be impulsive, but when it comes to furnishing the home it’s always worth taking time to carefully select your chosen pieces. Make it an enjoyable experience and take your time on the floor.

 

 

Make a List & Balance Needs Vs Wants

Before diving in, it’s worth having a good browse of the sale and selecting the items you really want. Put together a list of items you want and those you need. Prioritise and then see what budget might be left over for a few new year interior treats.

 

 

Home Refresh

Particularly when it comes to bringing home new furniture, it’s worth doing a spring clean before you make new purchases – making room for the new additions and giving the updated space a fresh start.

 

 

Unsure of the Style, Shape or Size?

To suss out sizing, measure it all out! And even better, lay a cut out of the piece on the floor – cut to the given measurements of your new sofa, etc. – and see how it fits in the space. And when considering styling, bring a picture of the intended space into the shop and compare it with the item in question to see how the two fit together. This will save you a lot of hassle!
