Tidy Desk, Tidy Mind: Our Guide To Creating The Perfect Home Office

Over the past few years, working from home has never been as popular as it is now, with many companies offering working from home or hybrid working positions. Statistics show that working remotely can improve productivity by up to 77%, which is why it’s super important to have your home office perfect. Below are our top tips for creating the perfect remote working space.

Home Office

The first thing we need to do is create our home office space. We want to make sure that we have enough room for our desk, computer, printer, and any other equipment we may use. If you don’t have a dedicated area for your home office, then you should consider using a corner of your bedroom or even a spare closet. Make sure that you have adequate lighting and ventilation for your work space. You should also keep your home office away from noise-producing devices like TVs and stereos

Desk

Your desk should be big enough to comfortably fit your laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and any other equipment you may use. You should also have ample storage for your files and papers. A good option would be to get a file cabinet or bookcase. You can shop our catalogue of desks here

Lighting

Lamps are a great way to supplement your lighting system and provide additional light where necessary. There are many different types of lamps out there, and each type provides a unique look and feel to your space. Try to find a small table lamp to fit your space to help provide productivity. Computer

You will need a computer (If you have not been supplied with one) to access the internet, send emails, and check social media sites. Your computer should be powerful enough to handle graphic design software and video editing programs. You should also have a backup system in place just in case something goes wrong with your primary device.

Printer

If you plan on printing out documents, you will need a printer. You should have a wireless printer that connects directly to your computer without needing to connect via USB cable to keep everything tidy.
