It looks like the future is finally here guys: a laundry folding robot is scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2019!

Manufactured by European home appliance giant BSH, the FoldiMate is a laundry-folding machine capable of folding shirts, blouses, trousers and more plus towels, pillowcases and underwear at a rate of 20-40 items in two to four minutes!

Be advised though, this super handy household robot will set you back a cool $980 which is quite a lot of money to pay for a robot that can only complete a basic task like folding.

It will be interesting to see how popular the FoldiMate proves with the general public when it goes on sale at the end of 2019 and if there is a genuine market for domestic robots.
