Say what you will about Hannibal Lector and his cannibalistic tendencies, but the man has serious style when it comes to his suits and surroundings. It’s understandable that people were questioning the capability of any actor to follow Anthony Hopkins in the role, but Mads Mikkelsen’s Hannibal is utterly spellbinding; his love of art, culture and music, as well as his dedication to aesthetics and perfection, ensure that his lifestyle is as well put together as his careful web of lies. Thanks to Matthew Davies, the production designer on the series, as well as Producer Bryan Fuller’s unusual approach to style and shooting, the ‘Hannibal’ series boasts some of the most striking – and character-appropriate – interiors on television. Such a pity we won’t see any more episodes beyond the third season.
Dining Room
While the animal motif might be a cheeky nod to his creepier tendencies, the navy textured walls, forest landscape and tiered plant wall are beautiful.

Hannibal’s Office
The horizontal striped curtains are a surprising moment, but the muted green walls and rows of warm tone bookshelves are stunning – particularly when coupled with the rich and traditional rugs dressing the floor.
